The story of the world of Olote continues in Bertron Hamill's upcoming release, The Reckoning of Olote, Tilfraes of Olote, Selections. In this book he relates the tale of the Wandering Son, a royal prince in exile and the Tilfraes of the Seasons, covering the siblings who manage the seasons of Olote.
This newest release from Hamill will delve more into the lore of Olote. One main part is dealing with the Siblings of the Seasons, The Princess of Spring, The Prince of Summer, The Prince of Autumn and the Princess of Winter. The lore of these siblings is told in poem form, a talent that Hamill has greatly cultivated.
Without spoiling anything, I will say that the lore of the Seasons is new and very unique without losing any of the originality of Hamill's writing style. Each one has a personality and traits that will endear them to readers. Although I will say that the Princess of Winter and Spring do have faults, with each wanting their season to either last longer or start sooner, which creates friction between them. There are arbitrators to their arguments, but I won't spoil it for the readers, you will simply have to wait for the book's release.
Beyond these Tilfraes is the story of the Wandering Son. This covers the tale of the last of a royal line who has lived in hiding since childhood and how he comes to discover his heritage and what Evar wishes him to do. It is a story that encompasses so much. Coming of age, grace when things get difficult and learning to trust even when the path ahead seems dark. Again, I don't want to give away too much but know that this is a story you don't want to miss!
There is so much more in this book no true lover of fantasy will feel complete without. Look for it in October of this year!
