I never set out to become an author.

I was living a quiet life until two things happened that changed everything. I watched my father spend years honoring wedding vows my mother no longer remembered because of dementia. Then, just days before he died, I promised him I would tell their story.

That promise rewrote my own.

Today, I write the stories people survive. Stories where faith shatters, hope flickers, and love refuses to walk away. Get In The Boat isn't just about dementia. It's about what happens when life strips away every title, every plan, and every illusion of control, leaving only one question: Who are you when no one is watching?

I believe legacy isn't built by avoiding the hard stories. It's built by telling them honestly enough that someone else finally feels seen.
